Description: The Rembrandt Classic Hotel is a comfortable 3 stars hotel set in buildings from the 17th and 19th century situated between Herengracht and Singel, the most prestigious and peaceful canals in the city center of Amsterdam. It is located within 2 minutes walking distance from the Dam square and the Kalverstraat (shopping street) and only 15 minutes on foot from Central Station. Renowned attractions such as Anne Frank Huis, Madame Tussauds and the Red Light District can all be reached within a few minutes by walking. You can reach the Museum Square, where the world-famous Rijks and Van Gogh Museums are, within 10 minutes with public transportation. All 111 rooms are equipped with a television with national and international channels, safe deposit box, a direct-dial phone and a private bathroom with bath tub , toilet and a hair dryer. Bathroom amenities are available free of charge. All areas in the hotel are non smoking. You can enjoy the buffet breakfast from 07:00 till 10:30. There is no restaurant for lunch and dinner at the hotel, but room service is available between 17:00 and 21:30. The Spuistraat , well known for its variety of restaurants is just around the corner. You can enjoy a delicious drink at the bar in the lobby between 8:00 and 21:30. After that you can use one of the three vending machines which are always at your disposal. Directions: Travel from Schiphol Airport: -Shuttle bus, duration 35-40 min. Price is EUR 12.00 per person. There is no stop at the hotel, but if you ask the driver, he will stop at the corner of Herengracht and Raadhuisstraat, from where it is only a 3-minute walk to the hotel. We recommend you to buy a one-way ticket, as the service from the hotel to the airport is not possible from our hotel.-Taxi from Schiphol Airport (about EUR 40) duration approximately 20 minutes. -Train to Central Station Amsterdam, duration 12-20 minutes. This train will be leaving every 6 to 10 minutes. A one-way ticket costs EUR 6.50 each.
