Description: Hotel Asterisk Amsterdam breathes a very friendly atmosphere and is situated in a 19th century building that has expanded over several premises throughout the years. There are different rooms available for every budget due to the original construction of the premises. Numerous interesting sights, such as the 'Rembrandtplein', 'Museumplein' and the 'Albert Cuyp' market are all within walking distance. The hotel is also easy to reach by tram and bus, so you can easily travel in any direction. The hotel offers excellent service. The staff will gladly inform you about special events, museums or restaurants that are nearby. If you explore Amsterdam by bicycle, which is very convenient, you can safely park your two-wheeler in the inner courtyard of the hotel. But motorcyclists are also looked after. There are a few anchors in the wall that can be used to secure your bike. All rooms are equipped with a television, phone and safe. The 'basic' rooms have a shower and toilet in the hallway, while all other rooms are equipped with a private bathroom. Hair dryers and electric kettles are available on request at the reception. The continental breakfast is served from 07:00 to 09:30 hours in the cosy breakfast room. The reception staff will gladly advise you about nice restaurants in the vicinity, where you can enjoy lunch and dinner. The hotel has free access to wireless Internet. There is an Internet corner for guests in the lobby as well. No group bookings (over 6 people) accepted by the hotel !
Directions: From the Schiphol Airport to Hotel Asterisk Amsterdam.First Option:The connexxion shuttle bus stop is outside the main exit of schiphol a bit to the right. You can buy tickets in the bus. per person 14,50 euro or a bit less for return ticketsSecond Option:You can also take a special taxi form the BBandF schipholtaxi company for 30,- (from 1 to 4 persons) or 39,- (from 5 to 8 persons). To take this you will have prebook whether online www.schipholtaxi.nl or by telephone at +31(0)204051013, then upon arrival you have to report at their STA desk with your luggage. This is located at Schiphol Plaza ( arrivals hall 4, next supermarkt) across starbucks. Third Option:You can take a train to Amsterdam Central Station. After that you exit the Station on the east side exit.Then you take a tram, number 16, 24 or 25 and get off at the stop called wetering circuit (will be announced and displayed in the tram).From this stop there is a 2 minute walk to our hotel. Just follow the blue signs on the street lamps.
